Delusion premieres worldwide on Netflix — the United States included — on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Netflix unlocks its Originals at 12:00 a.m. PT (3:00 a.m. ET), so you can press play on this Thai psychological thriller the moment the clock ticks over on the West Coast.

That is the short answer for anyone who just wants the essentials. Delusion (known in Thailand by its original title ภาพลวงตาย) is a Netflix Original crime mystery that lands in every Netflix region on the same day, at no charge beyond your existing plan. Below is the full rundown — start time, where to watch, cast, and what the series is actually about.

When does Delusion come out?

Delusion arrives Thursday, September 24, 2026. As with every Netflix Original, it unlocks everywhere at the same instant: 12:00 a.m. Pacific, which is 3:00 a.m. Eastern for US viewers. If you like to watch on release night, the East Coast gets it in the small hours of Thursday morning, while the West Coast can start at midnight sharp. Netflix has confirmed the launch date but has not detailed the episode count or whether the season arrives all at once or weekly, a rollout it has used for some of its Thai titles.

Where to watch Delusion in the US

Delusion streams exclusively on Netflix in the United States. There is no separate rental or purchase — it is included with any active Netflix plan. The cheapest way in is Netflix’s ad-supported tier, while the ad-free Standard and Premium plans add higher resolution and more simultaneous screens. Because it is a Netflix Original, you will not find it on any rival service.

What is Delusion about?

The premise is a nightmare no family is ready for. Wan, a provincial high-school teacher, watches her world tilt when her own father becomes the prime suspect in a string of killings. His failing memory makes everything worse: as dementia loosens his grip on what is real, even he cannot say for certain what he did or did not do. Wan is left to chase the truth before the case — and her family — comes apart.

Rather than a straight whodunit, the series leans into psychological drama, with unreliable memory as its central device; the original Thai title plays on the words for illusion and death. Expect a slow burn where the question is less “who is guilty” than “can anyone here trust what they remember.”

Who directed Delusion, and who stars?

Delusion is co-written and directed by Chayan “Au” Laoyodtrakool, whose earlier Netflix work includes the horror anthology Terror Tuesday: Extreme. He shares script credit with Kasidej Sundararjun and Kanokphan Ornrattanasakul.

Leading the cast is Natapohn “Taew” Phornprapha as Wan, a familiar face to Thai-drama fans, alongside Jespipat “Jes” Tilapornputt, Vachiravit “August” Paisarnkulwong, Surasak Chaiyaat, and Sirani Yankittikan.

Netflix Thailand has also shared a first-look featurette introducing the family at the heart of the story:

Why Delusion is worth a spot on your list

Thai thrillers have quietly become one of Netflix’s most reliable sources of word-of-mouth hits, and Delusion is among the more ambitious entries on the platform’s 2026 Thai slate. For US viewers who have already worked through the obvious Korean and Spanish-language mysteries, it is exactly the kind of under-the-radar international title that rewards early adopters — the show people discover a week late and wish they had started on night one.

How Delusion fits Netflix’s international lineup

Over the past few years, Netflix has turned Southeast Asian genre storytelling into a steady pipeline of breakout titles, and Thailand has been at the center of it. Series and films out of Bangkok travel unusually well, blending sharp mystery plotting with a distinct emotional register that US audiences have increasingly sought out. Delusion sits squarely in that tradition: a domestic drama wrapped inside a criminal investigation, built to be discussed episode by episode rather than half-watched in the background.

What sets it apart from the usual procedural is the memory conceit. By making the accused an unreliable narrator of his own life, the show forces every other character — and every viewer — to question the evidence in front of them. It is a structure that rewards attention, and it is the reason the series has been flagged as one of the more distinctive Thai originals of the year.

Should you watch Delusion on day one?

If you gravitate toward slow-burn mysteries with a strong family core — the kind of show that trades car chases for dread and doubt — this is an easy addition to the queue. Save the September 24 date, set a reminder for the 3:00 a.m. ET drop if you want to go in unspoiled, and treat the trailer above as your primer. For everyone else, it will be waiting on the Netflix home screen that Thursday, no add-on required.
