As Landman heads toward the end of its second season on Paramount+, the West Texas oil drama is tightening the screws on both its business and its characters. Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace and led by Billy Bob Thornton, the series has turned the oil fields around M-Tex Oil into a pressure cooker of money, crime, and family conflict. With only two episodes left, viewers want to know exactly when new episodes drop and what’s really on the line for Cami, Tommy, Cooper and the rest of the Norris clan.

Landman Season 2 Release Calendar on Paramount+

Season 2 of Landman is made up of ten episodes, rolling out weekly on Paramount+ after the season’s launch on November 16, 2025. As of early January 2026, the story is entering its final stretch.

Here’s the confirmed schedule for the remaining episodes of the season on Paramount+ in the U.S.:

  • Episode 9 – “Plans, Tears and Sirens”: streaming January 11, 2026
  • Episode 10 – “Tragedy and Flies”: streaming January 18, 2026

These last two chapters are designed to wrap up the escalating financial gamble around M-Tex Oil while pushing several core family arcs to a breaking point.

Quick Recap: Where Season 2 Leaves M-Tex Oil Before Episode 9

To understand what’s at stake heading into the penultimate episode, it helps to look at how Season 2 has reshaped M-Tex Oil from the ground up.

The death of founder Monty Miller at the start of the season doesn’t just leave a personal void – it exposes how precarious the company really is. When Cami Miller steps in to run M-Tex, she doesn’t try to imitate Monty’s style. Instead, she imposes a harder, more hands-on leadership, making aggressive decisions in an attempt to keep the company moving forward in an increasingly volatile oil market.

Tommy Norris finds himself in the uncomfortable middle. Long used to navigating the politics and personalities of the oil patch, he now has to absorb Cami’s top-down directives while trying to shield the company from risks he can see coming. That balancing act gets even tougher once M-Tex’s books are pulled apart.

What surfaces is a legacy Monty didn’t exactly advertise: a maze of legal shells and financial engineering tying up hundreds of millions of dollars. Instead of being a war chest, that money is effectively frozen by complex structures, leaving M-Tex cash-poor at a moment when it needs liquidity most.

How Gallino and Cooper Complicate the Game

At the same time, a name that initially sounded like just another investor has become a looming threat. Danny “Gallino” Morrell arrives under the guise of a standard capital partner—someone you’d expect to see around large-scale oil projects. Episode after episode, though, it becomes more obvious that he brings far more than money to the table, including ties to criminal networks that a public-facing company like M-Tex can’t afford to be associated with.

His growing leverage over the company puts the leadership in a bind: they need his capital to keep their drilling ambitions alive, but every step closer to him drags M-Tex deeper into a gray zone where business, politics, and crime collide.

Then there’s Cooper Norris, whose storyline captures the moral and generational tension at the heart of Landman. Formerly doing field work, Cooper is now responsible for overseeing high-yield projects that can transform balance sheets and entire communities. The cost is that he’s forced to sign off on choices with serious fallout—on the land, on workers’ safety, and on his own sense of who he wants to be. That internal tug-of-war mirrors the external chaos around M-Tex’s financial future.

Episode 8 Fallout: Why the Season 2 Finale Really Matters

Episode 8 leaves the company in arguably its most fragile position so far. Facing paralyzing cash constraints and mounting pressure from investors, Cami makes a bold move: she secures a loan by putting key royalties on the line. In plain terms, the very revenue stream that could secure M-Tex’s long-term survival is now collateral. If the high-stakes drilling operation they’re counting on fails, the company doesn’t just take a hit—it risks losing its future income and independence.

Tommy, ever the realist, recognizes how close this brings M-Tex to the edge. He tries to rein in the damage, but every attempt to soften the blow comes with its own trade-off, whether it’s alienating partners, angering Cami, or giving Gallino even more leverage.

Rebecca Falcone, caught between professional ambitions and personal entanglements, becomes another pressure point. Her decisions across Season 2 have positioned her as both an asset and a liability: a capable operator who now has to live with choices that have undermined her standing inside and outside the company.

Key Questions Season 2 Still Has to Answer

With only “Plans, Tears and Sirens” and “Tragedy and Flies” left, the narrative is clearly steering toward a decisive clash between financial reality, criminal influence, and family loyalty. Expect the final two episodes to address several core questions:

  1. Does the critical drilling project succeed or fail? The outcome of the well backed by those pledged royalties will likely determine whether M-Tex can stabilize its finances or spirals into a deeper crisis.
  2. How far does Gallino’s power reach? The series has hinted that he’s more than an investor with shady connections. The finale should clarify how central he is to M-Tex’s future—and whether the company becomes beholden to him or finds a way to break free.
  3. What happens to the Norris family dynamic? The relationships among Tommy, Angela, and T.L. Norris have been building toward emotional and possibly legal confrontations. The end of Season 2 is positioned to resolve—or at least explode—those simmering conflicts.

True to Sheridan’s storytelling style, Landman blends industry drama with intimate character stakes: a balance sheet decision can shatter a marriage, a drilling mishap can redraw a family’s future, and one signature on a loan contract can pull everyone into a long-term deal with the devil.

What’s Next for Landman After Season 2?

Paramount+ has already confirmed that Landman will not end with this chapter. The platform renewed the series for a third season in December 2025, signaling confidence that the world of West Texas oil still has plenty of story to tell. That renewal also frees the Season 2 finale from having to neatly wrap up every storyline; instead, it can set up new alliances, rivalries, and threats that will carry into Season 3.

For U.S. viewers, new episodes continue to land weekly on Paramount+, with Episodes 9 and 10 set to deliver the most consequential moves yet for M-Tex Oil and the Norris family. If the show follows Sheridan’s usual pattern, expect the finale to offer some resolution while opening the door to an even messier, more dangerous playing field in the next season.

How to Watch Landman Season 2 on Paramount+

In the United States, Landman Season 2 streams exclusively on Paramount+. Episodes are released on a weekly basis rather than dropped all at once, which keeps the show in the conversation for several months and aligns it with other event-style dramas on the platform.

If you’re planning to catch up before the finale, the full season (once complete) will consist of ten episodes available on demand between November 2025 and January 2026.
