Medusa Season 2 premieres Wednesday, September 30, 2026, streaming only on Netflix, and the entire season lands at once at midnight PT (3:00 a.m. ET), Netflix’s standard global launch time. Any Netflix plan gets you in — the ad-supported tier starts at $8.99 a month in the US — and the Colombian thriller streams with English subtitles and an English-dubbed audio track.

After becoming Netflix’s most-watched non-English title during its 2025 debut, Bárbara Hidalgo’s high-gloss revenge saga is back. Here is exactly when, where, and how to watch the new season in the United States.

Where and when to watch Medusa Season 2

Medusa is a Netflix original, so the second season streams exclusively on Netflix in the US and worldwide — there is no separate rental, cable window, or add-on to buy. Netflix releases the full season in one drop rather than weekly, so all of the new episodes unlock the moment the clock hits midnight in the Pacific time zone.

  • Platform: Netflix (US and worldwide)
  • Release date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
  • Release time: Midnight PT / 3:00 a.m. ET
  • Format: Full season, all episodes at launch
  • Language: Spanish, with English subtitles and an English dub
  • Starting price: $8.99/month (Standard with ads)

How much you’ll pay to stream it

You do not need anything beyond a standard Netflix subscription to watch Medusa Season 2. As of September 2026, US pricing runs $8.99 a month for Standard with ads, $19.99 for the ad-free Standard plan, and $26.99 for Premium, which is the only tier that unlocks 4K Ultra HD and four simultaneous streams. Every plan includes the show at no extra charge, though the ad-supported tier occasionally holds back individual titles for licensing reasons.

What happened in Medusa Season 1

The first season, which arrived March 5, 2025, followed Bárbara Hidalgo (Juana Acosta), a corporate heir who survives a suspicious explosion aboard her yacht off the Colombian coast just as she is about to take control of her family’s industrial conglomerate. Presumed dead and left with amnesia, she slowly pieces together that the attempt on her life was orchestrated from inside her own family. Set against the tropical heat of Barranquilla, the show played as a premium soap opera, blending a murder investigation, boardroom power struggles, and tangled romance. It struck a nerve immediately, topping Netflix’s global non-English chart and racking up 96.8 million hours viewed — numbers strong enough that Netflix ordered a second season barely two weeks after launch.

What to expect from Season 2

As the new season opens, Bárbara has reclaimed control of the Medusa group and hoped to catch her breath alongside detective Danger Carmelo (Manolo Cardona), the man who exposed the plot against her. That calm shatters when an attack targets Cristian, one of the Hidalgo clan, dragging the couple back to Barranquilla. Bárbara has to retake the reins of the family business under fresh threats while Danger reopens an investigation to identify a shadowy figure known as Demonio Hidalgo. The release of Esteban (Sebastián Martínez) from prison adds another pressure point, as he sets out to reclaim the fortune and status he lost, no matter which old rivalries he reignites.

Juana Acosta and Manolo Cardona lead a returning cast that also includes Sebastián Martínez, Carlos Torres, and Mabel Moreno. Series creators Said Chamie and Claudia Sánchez remain the writers, and production once again centers on the Barranquilla region, whose light and color are part of the show’s signature look.

Why Medusa is worth your time

The show sits in a small group of Spanish-language Netflix originals to earn a renewal this quickly, and its speed to Season 2 says a lot about how central Latin American drama has become to the service’s global strategy. For US viewers, it’s an easy entry point into that catalog: the story is self-contained, the pacing is built for binge-watching, and the melodrama is pitched to travel well beyond Colombia. If you’re setting a reminder, note that the midnight PT launch means the season goes live at 3:00 a.m. ET, 2:00 a.m. CT, and 1:00 a.m. MT — so East Coast night owls get it first, and everyone else can simply press play when they wake up.
