What Season 6 Is About
Welcome back to Slough House, the dead-end department where MI5 dumps the agents it cannot fire outright. Running the show, as ever, is the irascible and famously unkempt Jackson Lamb, whose slovenly appearance hides a lethal instinct. This season tightens the screws on his team: someone is hunting down the “slow horses” themselves, and Lamb has to work out who is targeting his agents before any more of them turn up dead. The formula holds — acid humor, paranoid tension, and battered characters who are as easy to root for as they are to wince at.
The season had its world premiere on September 11th at the Toronto International Film Festival, just days before the first episode reached streaming.
Who Stars in Season 6?
Gary Oldman anchors the ensemble once more as Jackson Lamb. He is joined by Jack Lowden as ambitious agent River Cartwright and Kristin Scott Thomas as MI5’s ruthless second-in-command, Diana Taverner. Series regulars Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Rosalind Eleazar, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, and Tom Brooke are all back. The new season also adds a heavyweight roster of guest stars — Hugo Weaving, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Jonathan Pryce, and BAFTA winner Lenny Rush — while Olivia Cooke returns as Sid Baker, an agent last seen in Season 1.
