Why eleven episodes changed the shape of the season
Seasons 1 and 2 ran ten episodes each. Season 3 added one — a small change that matters more than it sounds, because Apple stretched it across a full weekly run rather than front-loading a multi-episode premiere. The one-hour opener aside, there was no binge window at any point: eleven Wednesdays, start to finish, from late January to early April.
That pacing is deliberate on Apple’s part and it is now the house pattern for its comedies. If you came to season 3 expecting the two- or three-episode drops some platforms use to hook viewers, you did not get one.
Where to watch
All eleven episodes are on Apple TV, along with seasons 1 and 2. An Apple TV subscription is required; the service dropped the “+” from its name in October 2025, so if you are looking for “Apple TV+” in a search box, it is the same thing.
The whole season is available at once now that the run has finished — a better proposition than it was in February, when the weekly wait was the main complaint from viewers who came in late.
Is Shrinking coming back for season 4?
Yes. Season 4 is officially confirmed. Apple has not announced a premiere date, an episode count, or a production window.
